Setting, “Short Walk”,  a small strip of wooden shops and parlors, no bigger than two blocks, resembling this on both sides with a well in the center of the small town. 

Characters, “The Missionary Twins”, they dress in dark hats and vests, with striped shirts.

JONAH, tall, slender, long black hair, of Native American and Mexican descent.

MICAH, average height, reddish hair, white American.

MICAH and JONAH are standing at the edge of a well, pictured here.

ROW 1

Panel 1

We see the surface of the water at the bottom of a dark well, in them we see the distorted reflections of MICAH and JONAH.

MICAH 1: (Off-panel but pointing to his reflection’s side,) It’s been three days.

JONAH 2: That doesn’t make it any safer.

ROW 2

Close on MICAH, looking to his left at JONAH, we see him from behind, over his shoulder.

MICAH 3: Not another town within a day’s ride.

Panel 3

Close on MICAH, looking to his left at JONAH, we see him from behind, over his shoulder.

Close on JONAH, looking to his right (our left) at his brother.

JONAH 4: I ain’t sweat a drop. I’m bone-dry.

ROW 3

We see the two from above, standing around the well. Littered around the well are people who lying dead on the ground, poisoned from drinking from the well.

MICAH 5: So are they…
